Equilis Te suspension for injection for horses – what it does
Equilis Te suspension for injection for horses helps protect against tetanus. Tetanus is a serious, often fatal disease caused by toxins from Clostridium tetani bacteria in the environment. Even small wounds can allow these bacteria to enter the body.

Vaccinating with Equilis Te builds and maintains tetanus immunity. This protection supports horse welfare and gives reassurance for everyday activities, routine yard life and emergencies.

Benefits of Equilis Te suspension for injection for horses

✔ Helps protect horses from life-threatening tetanus
✔ Suitable for primary vaccination and booster courses
✔ 10 x 1 ml vials for single-dose accuracy
✔ Fits into a clear, vet-led preventative health plan
✔ Accepted for standard tetanus vaccination requirements
✔ Easy to integrate with flu vaccination schedules where appropriate

How Equilis Te works
Equilis Te suspension for injection for horses contains tetanus toxoid. This is an inactivated form of the tetanus toxin. It cannot cause tetanus, but it stimulates the immune system.

After vaccination, the horse’s immune system learns to recognise the tetanus toxoid. If the horse later encounters tetanus toxins in real life, the immune system can respond quickly and strongly. This response helps prevent disease and reduces the risk of death from tetanus.

When vets use Equilis Te
Your vet may use Equilis Te suspension for injection for horses to:

• Start a primary tetanus course
Young horses or horses with unknown history begin a structured series of injections.

• Maintain regular boosters
Horses already vaccinated receive boosters at set intervals to keep protection up to date.

• Support high-risk horses
Horses that live out, travel often or are prone to wounds need reliable tetanus cover.

Your vet will check your horse’s passport, age, health status and previous vaccine history. They will then design a tetanus schedule and record each dose with date, batch and expiry details.
