What they are

KRUUSE 20 gauge standard disposable needles designed for smooth skin penetration and reliable flow on routine farm, equine and small-animal injections. The stainless-steel cannula and precision tri-bevel grind provide a clean entry with consistent gliding feel.

Key features & build

• 304 stainless-steel cannula with uniform lumen for dependable flow on aqueous and light oil-based injectables

• Tri-bevel, silicone-coated tip to lower penetration and glide force while minimising tissue drag

• Universal Luer hub compatible with Luer slip and Luer lock syringes

• ISO colour-coded hub – yellow for 20G for instant gauge recognition in the crush or theatre

• Individually sterile EO packs with peel-open wrappers; single-use to support best injection hygiene

Available sizes (choose by route and site)

• 0.5″ (12 mm) – shallow SC injections in calves, lambs and small animals

• 1″ (25 mm) – versatile IM/SC length for many equine and farm injection sites

• 1.5″ (38 mm) – extra reach for deeper IM placements in adult cattle and horses where anatomy and label require it

Selection tip: Match gauge to product viscosity and patient size; match length to route and site depth. Always follow the medicine label or SPC for needle size and technique.

Handling & good practice

• Use a new sterile needle per animal and for each entry into multi-dose vials

• Keep caps on until use; avoid touching the cannula or Luer face

• After use, do not recap—drop directly into an approved sharps container

• Store clean and dry; keep cartons closed to protect wrapper integrity

Typical veterinary uses

Routine vaccinations, sedatives, analgesics and antibiotics where 20G offers a balance between flow and patient comfort, plus draw-up from multi-dose vials prior to switching to a fresh administration needle.
