KRUUSE 21G Disposable Needles

KRUUSE 21G Disposable Needles

What they are

KRUUSE 21 gauge standard disposable needles engineered for repeatable, low-effort skin penetration and smooth injection feel. Each needle has a precision tri-bevel grind and a silicone-coated stainless-steel cannula to minimise insertion force while maintaining a clean cut.

Key features & build quality
  • 304 stainless-steel cannula with consistent wall and lumen for reliable flow on aqueous and oil-based injectables

  • Precision tri-bevel tip for sharp, predictable entry and reduced tissue drag

  • Silicone coating to lower initial penetration and gliding force during placement

  • Universal Luer hub (fits Luer slip and Luer lock syringes) for secure push-fit/lock-on connection

  • ISO colour-coded hub – green for 21G for instant gauge recognition on busy calls

  • Individually sterile packs (EO-sterilised) with peel-open paper/film wrappers; single-use to support best injection hygiene

Size options (choose by species, site and route)
  • 5/8″ (16 mm) – ideal for shallow SC injections in calves, lambs, dogs and cats, and for intradermal tests where appropriate

  • 1″ (25 mm) – versatile length for many IM/SC farm and equine sites when moderate depth is required

  • 1.5″ (38 mm) – extra reach for deeper IM injections in adult cattle and horses where label and anatomy demand it

Selection tip: Match gauge to product viscosity and patient size; match length to route and site depth. Always follow the medicine SPC/label for route, needle size and technique.

Handling & good practice
  • Use a new sterile needle per animal and per multi-dose vial entry to reduce cross-contamination risk

  • Keep protective caps on until use; avoid touching the cannula or hub luer surface

  • After use, do not recap; drop straight into an approved sharps container

  • Store clean, dry and out of sunlight; keep boxes closed to maintain wrapper integrity

Typical veterinary uses
  • Routine vaccination programmes on farm and yard

  • Sedatives, analgesics and antibiotics where a 21G bore offers a good balance of flow and tissue comfort

  • Draw-up from multi-dose vials prior to needle change for injection
