What is Trazodone?

Trazodone for dogs and cats is a prescription-only medicine supplied for veterinary patients on your vet’s instruction. It is not licensed as a veterinary medicine in the UK and is dispensed as a human generic preparation for use in animals under the veterinary prescribing cascade, only when your vet has assessed it as the most appropriate option for your pet.

Veterinary Use

Vets may prescribe Trazodone for particular behavioural or clinical situations in dogs and cats. How to Use

Use and dosage must follow the prescribing veterinary surgeon’s instructions exactly. Do not adjust the dose or stop treatment without speaking to your vet first.
