What you can order from Pet Med Direct
We supply prescription and non-prescription veterinary medicines for dogs, cats, horses and small pets, alongside foods, supplements and everyday care products.
That covers most of the treatment your vet is likely to prescribe: pain relief and anti-inflammatories such as Metacam and Loxicom, skin and itching treatments such as Apoquel, heart and thyroid medication, insulin and diabetes care such as Caninsulin, eye care including Remend and Optimmune, and flea, tick and worming treatments such as Bravecto, NexGard and Simparica Trio.
Prescription-only veterinary medicines (POM-V) need a valid written prescription from the vet who has your pet under their care. Plenty of other pet medicines can be ordered without one — each product page tells you which applies.
How prescriptions are checked
You order, you send us your vet’s prescription, and our veterinary team checks it before anything is dispensed.

All orders are subject to veterinary review where required. Prescription-only medicines are supplied only once valid documentation has been received and approved.
Delivery, including Northern Ireland

Since 1 January 2026, veterinary medicine supply rules differ between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and some products can only be delivered within one region.
