What is the Adaptil Junior collar for puppies?

It is a one-size puppy collar that is warmed by your puppy’s body heat, which releases a synthetic copy of the pheromone produced by the mother dog. The manufacturer designed it to help puppies feel more reassured during a big change, such as coming home for the first time.

What is the Adaptil Junior collar used for?

Ceva makes the collar to help puppies settle and adapt in their new home. You can fit it from adoption day for puppies aged 8 weeks or older, up to around 6 months of age. It is not intended for hyperactivity, lack of socialisation or training, toilet-training problems or house-soiling with a medical cause, or aggression. If you are worried about your puppy’s behaviour, speak to your vet or a qualified behaviourist.

How to use the Adaptil Junior collar

Fit the collar snugly, with no more than two fingers between the collar and your puppy’s skin, then trim off any excess.
Keep it on day and night, except when using shampoo.
Check the fit as your puppy grows, and replace the collar every 4 weeks.

Do not cover the collar with another collar or a bandana.
Do not wet it with shampoo or chlorinated water.
Do not clip a lead to the Adaptil collar.
