What they are

KRUUSE 23 gauge standard disposable needles designed for smooth skin penetration and consistent flow. Each needle uses a polished tri-bevel grind and silicone-coated stainless-steel cannula to minimise insertion force and tissue drag while maintaining a clean entry wound.

Key features & build

• 304 stainless-steel cannula with consistent lumen for reliable delivery of aqueous and light oil-based injectables.

• Tri-bevel, silicone-coated tip for lower penetration and glide force.

• Universal Luer hub compatible with Luer slip and Luer lock syringes for secure connection.

• ISO colour-coded hub – blue for 23G for instant gauge recognition at the crush or in theatre.

• Individually sterile peel-packs (single use) to support best-practice injection hygiene.

Available sizes (choose by species, route and site)

• 5/8″ (16 mm) – shallow SC injections in calves, lambs and small animals; intradermal tests where indicated.

• 1″ (25 mm) – versatile IM/SC length for many equine and farm sites.

• 1.5″ (38 mm) – deeper IM placements in adult cattle and horses where label and anatomy require extra reach.

Selection tip: Match gauge to product viscosity and patient size; match length to the route and site depth. Always follow the medicine label/SPC for needle size and technique.

Handling & good practice

• Use a new sterile needle per animal and for each multi-dose vial entry.

• Keep caps on until use; avoid touching the cannula or Luer face.

• After use, do not recap—deposit directly into an approved sharps container.

• Store clean and dry; keep boxes closed to protect sterility of wrappers.

Typical veterinary uses

• Routine vaccination and medication on farm or yard.

• Sedatives, analgesics and antibiotics where 23G offers a balance of patient comfort and flow.

• Draw-up from multi-dose vials prior to changing to a fresh needle for injection.
