PRESCRIPTION NEEDED (Pom-V)

Metacam 0.5 mg/ml Oral Suspension contains meloxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is widely used to reduce pain and inflammation in cats and guinea pigs, improving comfort and quality of life.

It is suitable for managing both acute and chronic conditions where inflammation and pain are present.

How Metacam Works

This suspension is licensed for cats (post-operative pain, and acute/chronic musculoskeletal disorders) and for guinea pigs (short-term post-operative pain relief only, e.g. after castration) — the guinea pig licence does not cover ongoing musculoskeletal or chronic use. Currently available from us in 3ml and 15ml bottles.
