What Semintra is used for
Semintra 4 mg/ml Oral Solution for Cats is licensed for the reduction of proteinuria (protein loss in the urine) associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in cats, and for the treatment of systemic hypertension (high blood pressure) in cats.
Active ingredient and pack sizes
Contains telmisartan 4mg/ml, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB). Supplied with a measuring syringe. Available in 30ml and 100ml bottles.
How it’s given
Given orally, once daily, directly into the mouth or with a small amount of food, using the syringe provided. The dose your vet prescribes depends on whether Semintra is being used for CKD or for hypertension, and is set and adjusted according to your cat’s bodyweight and blood pressure readings. Do not change the dose without veterinary advice.
