What are Feliway Cystease capsules for cats?
Feliway Cystease is an oral supplement for cats, supplied as capsules. It was previously sold as Cystease Advanced, and some suppliers still use that name. The manufacturer names three ingredients: N-acetyl glucosamine and hyaluronic acid, which are components of the protective lining of the bladder, and L-tryptophan, an amino acid. The amount of each ingredient per capsule is not listed here, so please check the pack.
What are Feliway Cystease capsules used for?
The pack says the capsules are specially formulated to support feline urinary health, support the bladder lining and help reduce anxiety. Ceva says they can also be used before stressful situations.
They are a supplement and do not replace veterinary care. If your cat is straining to pass urine, passing little or no urine, or seems in pain, speak to a vet straight away.

How to give Feliway Cystease
The manufacturer’s feeding guide on its UK website is as follows. Always check the pack or leaflet too.
First 2 weeks: cats up to 3 kg, 1 capsule daily. Cats over 3 kg, 2 capsules daily.
Long-term maintenance: cats up to 3 kg, 1 capsule every other day. Cats over 3 kg, 1 capsule daily.
Open the capsule and sprinkle the contents onto your cat’s food.
For best results the manufacturer suggests using it alongside a Feliway Optimum diffuser.
Safety information
Complementary feeding stuff for cats only. Store as directed on the pack and keep out of reach of children.
If your cat has signs of urinary problems that are severe or do not settle, speak to your vet.
